The Opportunity

This role is for someone who loves writing new business.

You enjoy the momentum of conversations turning into opportunities, opportunities turning into quotes, and quotes turning into bound policies.

At Maverick, you won't be sitting around waiting for renewals.

You'll be working a large and growing pipeline, moving quickly with inbound opportunities, referrals, and strategic outreach.

You'll work directly with the founders, supported by modern systems, strong marketing infrastructure, and a business designed to generate opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

* Convert pipeline into business by working a steady flow of opportunities
* Build and grow a portfolio of commercial insurance clients
* Provide expert advice across multiple commercial insurance classes
* Move efficiently from discovery to market to recommendation to bind
* Deliver exceptional client experience throughout the year, not just at renewal
* Generate new opportunities through referrals, networking, and proactive outreach
* Use digital broking systems to manage quotes, policies, and client workflows
* Contribute to refining Maverick's sales and client-experience playbook

What You'll Bring

First and foremost, you are someone who wants to win business.

You probably feel a bit constrained where you are now - stuck in slow processes, heavy admin, or an environment that values maintaining a book more than building one.

You enjoy the energy of growth, the satisfaction of closing deals, and working in an environment where momentum matters.

Experience is important, but attitude matters even more.

Required

• Tier 1 Insurance Broking Compliance and/or Diploma of Insurance Broking • Minimum 3 years experience in commercial insurance broking

* Strong track record of writing new business
* Comfortable with using software to help you move quickly
* Comfortable managing commercial accounts end-to-end
* Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
* Commercial mindset with a genuine drive to grow
* Self-starter who thrives in a fast-moving environment
