MB Hoopers Engineering is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Boilermaker or Welder to join our busy fabrication workshop in Gympie, QLD.

About the Role
This is a permanent, full-time position working on projects critical to the local farming and civil industries. You will be responsible for the fabrication of brand new heavy machinery components – no repair work
We are looking for both boilermakers or welders for the workshop to assist with the day to day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabricate, weld, and assemble new components for earthmoving and farming equipment
Perform high-quality MIG and some minor STICK welding on heavy-gauge steel.
Operate workshop machinery such as our tonne hydraulic presses, magnetic drill, grinders and oxy-cutting equipment.
Maintain a high standard of safety and workshop cleanliness.
Skills & Experience Required
Boilermaker Trade Qualification not essential
Proven experience in heavy fabrication and welding preferred.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Forklift license advantageous
