About the Role: We are currently seeking a Mechanic for a well-established olive oil production operation based in Hillston. This role involves maintaining both orchard machinery and olive processing equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Locations: Hillston, NSW 2675 Job Type: Casual for the first 6 months, transitioning to full-time if suitable Commencement Date: ASAP Working Hours: 38 hours per week, with additional hours during harvest and as required Position Overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a wide range of agricultural and processing equipment used in olive harvesting and oil production. This role is critical in minimising downtime, particularly during peak harvest and processing periods. Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Maintain and repair agricultural machinery including olive harvesters, tractors, sprayers, and pruning equipment Service olive processing equipment such as washers, crushers, malaxers, centrifuges, and bottling lines Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults in field and factory equipment Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance to minimise operational downtime Respond promptly to breakdowns in both orchard and processing facilities Maintain accurate service logs and maintenance records Order and manage spare parts inventory Ensure all machinery complies with workplace health and safety standards Coordinate with farm managers and processing staff to schedule maintenance effectively Assist with setup, calibration, and adjustment of processing equipment to maintain oil quality and production efficiency Requirements: Relevant trade qualification as a Mechanic (Diesel or Agricultural preferred) Experience working with agricultural and/or food processing machinery Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical fault-finding skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong commitment to workplace health and safety Current driver's licence How to Apply: If you meet the above criteria and are interested in this opportunity, please choose one of the following options: In Person: Visit Workfront Griffith at 86 Yambil Street with your resume Online: Apply via the provided link and attach your resume Please note: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
