The Maintenance Coordinator leads a small team to deliver safe, high-quality maintenance across our manufacturing workshop. The role combines hands-on trade work with frontline supervision, driving equipment reliability, team performance, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will work closely with the maintenance manager and production teams to minimise downtime and implement best practices. Key Responsibilities Supervise daily maintenance work, ensuring tasks are completed safely, on time, and to standard. Perform planned and reactive maintenance to maximise uptime and reliability. Lead daily maintenance planning, prioritise work orders, and allocate resources. Coach and mentor technicians and apprentices; provide technical guidance. Identify and lead opportunities for process and equipment improvements. Ensure maintenance activities comply with WHS, environmental, and regulatory standards. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to plan maintenance and troubleshoot plant issues. Participate in root cause analysis and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Upskill the maintenance team to enhance cross-skilling and coverage. Support Lean initiatives and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Participate in audits, inspections, and incident investigations as required. Maintain a safe workplace and adhere to company policies and procedures. Essential Skills & Experience Maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Trade qualifications or higher within a heavy industry environment. Previous supervisory or team-leading experience. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems. Experience with CMMS and maintenance planning. Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to motivate and develop a team. Strong safety focus; understanding of WHS legislation. Ability to balance hands-on work with administrative and strategic responsibilities. Availability for on-call rotations, emergency response, and occasional on-site/off-hours work as required. Happy to talk through the rotations and the site hours in a phone call. Qualifications Trade qualifications in electrical or mechanical discipline (Or higher with a bachelor degree).
