**About the company**
A healthcare business with a growing security function requires a security specialist to conduct both analyst and engineering activities, working closely with its head of security
This is a permanent role with the capacity for someone to play a vital part in developing the organisation's security posture to ISO27001 certification and beyond
**About the role**
- Develop and execute remediation plans to address identified vulnerabilities and security weaknesses, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to industry best practices
- Assess risks associated with security vulnerabilities and provide recommendations for risk mitigation strategies and controls
- Assist in achieving ISO 27001 accreditation by contributing to the development and implementation of information security policies, procedures, and controls
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate, select, and implement SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools to enhance the organisation's security posture
- Monitor and analyze security events and incidents using SIEM tools, providing real-time threat detection and response
- Conduct security assessments and audits to identify gaps in security controls and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
**About you**
- Strong Security Analyst experience, as well as hands-on Security Engineering experience
- Technical expertise and guidance in the design, implementation, and maintenance of security infrastructure and systems having held senior responsibilities
- Experience in conducting remediations and uplifting the security posture of an organization
- Knowledge of ISO27001 and experience of working to this standard
- Strong track record of contributing to the uplift of an organsiation's security posture
- Experience in Investigating and resolving security breaches and implementing preventive measures to minimize future risks
