We are seeking an Assistant Centre Director who will be able to support the nominated supervisor in managing the day to day operations of a long day care service, in line with centre policies and procedures. This role will form a part of our leadership team and will work across all rooms of the centre supporting and assisting our educators with their programming.
In this position you will work as a part of the leadership team with time allocated off the floor for mentoring, planning and research. You would also spend time planning monthly programming meetings where discussions can occur to ensure the planning cycle is exceeding throughout the service.
About the role
* Assist with managing day-to-day operations in accordance with legislative requirements and company policies.
* Providing leadership, mentorship, and guidance to our dedicated staff.
* Ensuring the delivery of high-quality early learning programs by our passionate educators.
* Assist with supporting and managing the centre's staffing rosters and financial requirements in line with budget guidelines.
* Establishing and nurturing strong relationships with children, families, educators, the local business community, and all stakeholders.
* Actively participating in attracting, converting, and retaining families through effective management of tours, enrolments, and orientation in collaboration with our Enrolments Team.
About you
* Hold a Diploma in Children's Services or an Early Childhood Degree approved by ACECQA.
* Previous experience as a Assistant Director in an early childhood setting.
* Current blue card, approved first aid, CPR, anaphylaxis, and asthma qualifications
* Exhibit an extensive understanding of the Early Years Learning Development Framework, National Quality Standards (NQS), and Quality Improvement Plan (QIP)
* Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Showcase the ability to lead and mentor a team of dedicated early childhood professionals.
* Demonstrate the ability to incorporate critical thinking and reflective practice into daily operations.
