About the Role To succeed in this role, you need to demonstrate a sold grounding in leading, or significantly contributing to the delivery and project management, of assurance processes in a large, complex environment. Your Responsibilities As the Principal Financial Analyst, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: * Oversee the annual CFO Statement of Assurance program including administering surveys, conducting testing, developing and presenting reports on the department's performance and financial control environment. * Provide advice to statutory bodies under the Minister for Education and the Arts and assess statutory body loan and other financial arrangement requests. * Undertake financial monitoring and analysis of various statutory bodies (including ratio analysis and borrowing capacity assessments). * Use financial data, models or systems to evaluate performance, financial trends and identify business and financial risk. * Prepare Ministerial and departmental briefings, ad hoc reports, research papers, undertake financial projects or resolve other issues, when requested by the Lead Business Analyst or Director.
