We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced academic to join our team as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Robotics Engineering. This is an exciting opportunity for a researcher with expertise in medical robotics, assistive technologies, and autonomous systems.

* Lecturer - Level B: AUD $127,947 to $150,830 per annum + 17% superannuation
* Senior Lecturer - Level C: AUD $155,403 to $178,290 per annum + 17% superannuation
* Full time
* 2-Year Convertible Tenure Track
* Location: Kensington – Sydney, Australia
The Opportunity
This role is ideal for a candidate who has a strong research background and experience in teaching and research in robotics engineering and energy systems. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop their scholarly research and professional activities both nationally and internationally, while making significant contributions to the teaching and service missions of the School and Faculty.
As a Lecturer (Level B), you will have the opportunity to develop your research program and establish yourself as an expert in your field. As a Senior Lecturer (Level C), you will build on this success and establish an internationally recognised research program in your area of expertise.

This role reports to the Head of School and has no direct reports.

Skills & Experience
Lecturer (Level B)
* PhD in an area of direct relevance, including but not limited to Manufacturing, Mechanical, Aerospace and Robotics Engineering
* Demonstrated ability and track record in medical robotics, robotics for surgery, assistive technologies such as exoskeletons and service robots, and/or autonomous systems operating across air, ground and water environments
* Proven experience in translating research results into practical outcomes
* Demonstrated capacity for development of alternative delivery models for teaching, including online and blended delivery
* High-level communication skills and the ability to network effectively and interact with a diverse range of students and staff
* Demonstrated ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines and build effective relationships
* Willingness to undertake any compliance and supervisor training as required
* Ability and capacity to implement required UNSW health and safety policies and procedures
Senior Lecturer (Level C)
* PhD in an area of direct relevance, including but not limited to Manufacturing, Mechanical, Aerospace and Robotics Engineering
* Demonstrated ability and track record in medical robotics, robotics for surgery, assistive technologies such as exoskeletons and service robots, and/or autonomous systems operating across air, ground and water environments
* Extensive experience in translating research results into practical outcomes
* Demonstrated success in attracting research funding from governmental and/or industrial sectors
* Demonstrated capacity for development of alternative delivery models for teaching, including online and blended delivery
* Excellent level of communication skills and ability to network effectively and interact with a diverse range of students and staff
* Demonstrated experience in supervising research students
* Demonstrated ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines and build effective relationships
* Willingness to undertake any compliance and supervisor training as required
* Ability and capacity to implement required UNSW health and safety policies and procedures
