A rare leadership role has opened up within a growing accounting and advisory group with multiple offices across South East Queensland.
This is a chance to step into a well-established office, work alongside senior leadership during a structured handover period, and take ownership of a $1.4M portfolio with support from both local and offshore staff.
The role
You'll manage an established accounting division made up of 4 local staff plus 2 offshore team members, with responsibility for client management, workflow oversight, team leadership and helping drive the next stage of growth.
There will be a six-month transition period with the existing leader, so this is not a case of being thrown in the deep end. You'll be properly introduced to clients, supported through the changeover and given the autonomy to lead the office your way.

You won't be over-managed, so they need someone who can take ownership, lead from the front and keep things moving. Business development strength is welcomed, but it is not essential. Networking is expected as part of the role.
Background they're looking for
CA or CPA qualified
Strong public practice background (minimum 5 years in an accounting firm)
Experience managing staff and workflow
Confident handling a quality business services portfolio
Comfortable working with both onshore and offshore team members
Leadership mindset with a commercial approach
If you want a leadership role with genuine autonomy, a clear transition plan and future equity on the table, this one is worth a conversation.
