I'm currently partnering with an Australian-owned HVAC services business that has been established and trusted in the industry for over 40 years, delivering high-standard, technically complex commercial work for some of Australia's most recognised organisations — including CBRE, Charter Hall, Marriott, BHP and CPB Contractors.
Due to continued contract wins across a broad mix of commercial, healthcare, government and premium facilities, my client is accelerating their existing NSW presence and is now strategically building out a long-term service team over the next 12 months. This is a key hire as part of that growth - not a backfill and not a short-term appointment.
The Role:
You'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and fault-finding commercial HVAC systems across a variety of sites, including premium commercial buildings, hotels, hospitals, government facilities and other technically complex environments.
Day to day, you'll:
* Work across diverse, high-standard sites (no two days the same)
* Manage your own workload and plan your day
* Carry out diagnostics, repairs and preventative maintenance
* Complete service reports and compliance documentation
* Represent the business professionally with high-end clients
There's no micromanagement, technicians are trusted to do their job There's no constant phone tracking, and you'll be supported by strong admin and scheduling, with managers who back their techs when dealing with clients.
Remuneration & Earning Potential:
* $100k–$120k + Super + Company Car (experience dependent)
* Plenty of overtime available for those who want it
* Long-term job security through established commercial contracts
* Strong earning potential for high performers
Career Progression & Culture:
This role has been specifically identified as a future Service Manager position as the NSW team continues to grow.
The business has a proven history of promoting technicians who have come up through the tools, several current State Managers started in hands-on service roles.
You'll be supported with:
* Leadership training and professional development
* Exposure to managing people, contracts and clients
* The opportunity to step off the tools over time
Culturally, this is a people-first business:
* Family comes first, flexible starts and finishes when life happens
* No blame culture
* Zero tolerance for bullying, egos or toxic behaviour
* Long tenure, people stay because they're respected and supported
What I am looking for:
* Solid experience in commercial HVAC service
* Certificate III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
* ARCtick Refrigerant Handling Licence
* Relevant NSW Fair Trading trade licence / certificate
* Electrical licence or restricted electrical qualification (highly regarded)
* A professional, team-first attitude and strong work ethic
