This part‐time position offers a competitive salary of $32.29 per hour, along with extensive benefits including 6 weeks of annual leave with 17.5% leave loading, a remote area allowance, and superannuation contributions.
How you'll make a difference
As a Community Services Support Worker, you play an important part assisting the Community Care Team Leader in strengthening community wellbeing by building trusting relationships, supporting local activities, and ensuring that our aged care clients and participants can access the services they need.
The purpose of this position is to provide the highest level of support to individuals utilising our services.
This role focuses on general community support and wellbeing services provided by our Council.
Day‐to‐day duties will include, but are not limited to:
Personal and Direct Support
* Deliver respectful, client‐focused support with everyday activities.
* Support physical, social, and emotional wellbeing activities.
* Provide advice to clients about nutrition, food storage and hygiene.
* Assist in meal preparations, deliveries, personal care, domestic assistance and transportation.
The Ideal Candidate Profile
We are seeking a caring and motivated support worker with a passion for aged care and a commitment to providing culturally respectful support.
* Understanding of disability, aged care, and community services.
* Good time‐management skills and ability to prioritise tasks.
* Have a strong mindset of service, community contribution, and compassion.
Other Requirements
* Criminal History Check (recent, within 3 months)
* A current Working with Children's Clearance (Ochre Card)
* A current unrestricted and valid Driver's Licence
* Current First Aid Certificate (desirable or ability to obtain)
* NDIS Worker Screening Check (desirable or ability to obtain)
