Our client, Downtime Solutions Pty Ltd t/as DTS Service Centre, is seeking a qualified and experienced Diesel Motor Mechanic, to join their dedicated team.
The role specializes in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing diesel engines and related mechanical systems in heavy vehicles, mining equipment, and other heavy machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform regular servicing and maintenance tasks to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and pinpoint mechanical problems.
Repair or replace worn or damaged components, including engines, transmissions, fuel systems, and hydraulic systems.
Maintain and service various systems, such as fuel injection, suspension, hydraulic, pneumatic, and brake systems.
Maintain accurate records of service, repairs, and maintenance performed.
Adhere to all workplace safety and environmental regulations.
Diagnose and solve complex mechanical issues.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and customers.
Understand and follow safety procedures and regulations.
Perform repairs and maintenance in a workshop setting.
Undertake repairs and maintenance at the site of the equipment, such as mines or construction sites.
Work on a wide range of heavy vehicles, mining equipment, and other industrial machinery, performing diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance.
Use diagnostic tooling and write up job cards.
Clock on and off timesheets with phone/iPad.
Skills and Requirement:
Relevant trade qualification in Diesel Motor Mechanic or equivalent.
At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
Robust understanding of diesel engines, transmissions, and other mechanical systems.
