Medical & Surgical Registered Nurses – Northern Territory Government Hospitals
Base pay range: A$80,665.00/yr – A$107,800.00/yr
Location: Across the Northern Territory, Australia
Classification: RN Level 1 – Full‑time
We are seeking committed Medical and Surgical Registered Nurses to provide high‑quality, patient‑centred care across NT Government Hospitals. You will be part of a supportive multidisciplinary team in a fast‑paced medical ward environment, contributing to improved patient outcomes and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe and effective nursing care across general medical wards
- Conduct patient assessments, care planning, and evaluations
- Administer medications and IV therapies in accordance with policy and standards
- Work collaboratively with doctors, allied health, and Aboriginal Health Practitioners
- Support junior staff and contribute to clinical education and mentorship
- Participate in quality improvement and infection prevention initiatives
- Maintain current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1)
- Demonstrate experience in acute or medical ward settings
- Exhibit excellent clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
- Commit to providing culturally safe care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
- Hold Current Working with Children Clearance (or ability to obtain)
