Who are we looking for?
We're looking for a Works Supervisor / Surveillance Officer to work with our client Main Roads WA, located in Albany, on a fixed term contract until June 2026.
Responsibilities
* Undertake the surveillance of Contract Works.
* Supervise the Delivery of Works by Direct Management and/or MCW in accordance with the respective technical specifications and scope documentation.
* Verify that the works are undertaken in accordance with drawings, specifications, quality plans, safety plans, environmental plans and traffic management plans.
* Supervise the preparation of road building materials in a safe and efficient manner.
* Identify and assist in implementing improvements to road construction and maintenance processes and techniques to optimise project objectives and targets and report on the outcomes.
* Monitor performance and review construction processes and associated activities across the Network.
* Provide regular feedback to the Project / Contract Manager (Delivery) with regards to construction delivery; and
* Supervise daily operations in accordance with the relevant Safety, Health and Wellbeing (SHW) requirements and environmental plans.
What you will bring to the team:
* 3 - 8 years of relevant experience in civil construction and maintenance works.
* Strong understanding of road construction and maintenance practices.
* Ability to interpret and verify compliance with drawings, specifications, safety, environmental, and traffic management plans.
* Basic Worksite Traffic Management.
* White Card - Work Safely in the Construction Industry.
* Strong commitment to Safety, Health and Wellbeing (SHW) requirements.
