Role Description
The Junior Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position located in Mullumbimby, NSW. The responsibilities include assisting with financial records, preparing tax returns, supporting small business tax planning, maintaining general ledgers, assisting with payroll processing, and reconciling accounts. The role also involves assisting in producing financial reports, ensuring compliance with relevant tax and accounting laws, and liaising with clients to provide financial guidance.
Qualifications
* Strong proficiency in financial record-keeping, general ledger management, and account reconciliation
* Solid understanding of tax preparation, compliance, and small business tax planning
* Proficiency in accounting software and tools, as well as familiarity with Microsoft Excel
* Excellent attention to detail, organisational, and time-management skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with clients and team members
* Ability to work independently in an on-site environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
* Prior accounting experience or relevant internships are an advantage
