Job Title: Occupational Health Nurse
Overview:
This role focuses on delivering onsite health centre services to ensure quality occupational health, medical, and emergency care for all employees and business partners.
* The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing the Early Intervention Program, administering first aid treatment, reviewing, assessing, and treating to support optimum recovery of injured employees.
* Maintenance of legislative compliance through pre-employment medical screening and task-related periodical health monitoring is crucial.
* Ensuring the Health Centre adheres to Poisons Permit governance, Medication Standing Orders, Workers Compensation legislation, and Worksafe regulatory requirements.
* Initial assessments of injuries and illnesses reported by employees will lead to early diagnosis and facilitated early recovery for work and non-work-related injury or illness.
* Recording injuries reported by workers and associated incidents in a relevant database.
* Assisting with health promotion education activities on employment and lifestyle issues for all personnel.
* Coordinating medical appointments for injured workers with appropriate medical professionals when required.
About You:
* Australian citizen eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate Defence Security Clearance.
* Relevant occupational health nursing experience and/or emergency nursing experience.
* Registered General Nurse with current registration with AHPRA.
* At least 5 years post-registration experience.
* Ability to work autonomously.
* Current CPR certificate.
* Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
* Advanced Life Support qualification (desirable).
* Accredited Drug and Alcohol Testing certification (desirable).
* Audiometric Testing Certification (desirable).
