Coulson Aviation Australia is a subsidiary of global aerial firefighting company Coulson Aviation and supports Australian States and Emergency Service Organisations with the provision of heavy aircraft and experienced team members.Coulson Aviation Australia also operate and manage New South Wales Rural Fire Service-owned aircraft in all aspects of maintenance, fleet support systems and management, and operating personnel.We are currently seeking experienced, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Bell 412 Licensed B2 (Avionics) Engineer in Richmond, New South Wales, Australia. This person will be responsible for identifying and performing maintenance on aircraft and should posses demonstrated avionics experience on Bell 412 aircraft. The engineer is responsible for inspecting and documenting completed avionics maintenance on the Bell 412 aircraft.JOB DUTIES:Carries out maintenance on aircraft for which suitably licensed including the certification/coordination for maintenance carried out and/or coordinated by themselves, AME’s, and apprentices.Provides on the job training and direct supervision of unlicensed AME’s and apprentices under their control.Provides ongoing mentoring and coaching to staff to meet department goals.Manages the ordering of spares, components, and materials as required, for a specific maintenance task.Ensures that all tools and equipment meet calibration requirements and are in food working order prior to use, including operational equipment.Troubleshoots aircraft autopilot, instrument, radio, and electrical systems to identify problems and adjust repair systems according to current data and instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA).Ensues that work sheets, logs, tracking updates and other required records are complete and submitted in a timely manner.Reviews technical training requirements for B-412 aircraft and works directly with the lead and Chief Engineer to develop training plans as needed.REQUIREMENTS:Current CASA Part 66 Aircraft Engineer License with B2 category.2 years of maintenance experience on B-412 helicopters.2 years of experience training and mentoring staff.Advanced technical writing skills.PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:B-412 Type RatingFixed wing aircraft maintenance experience, preferably on C-560 and or/B-737Aircraft maintenance experience in aerial firefighting environmentAircraft maintenance experience in remote/field locationsAbout the companyFamily owned and operated, The Coulson Group of companies began in 1960 with forestry, expanded into aviation in 1985, then lumber manufacturing in 1989.
