We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute General Manager, Operations to lead Aerlink Australia's Operations Control Centre and Ground Operations, ensuring safe, compliant and cost‐effective delivery of services aligned with regulatory and contractual requirements. The position based in Brisbane, QLD with travel required.
About The Role
Reporting to the CEO / Accountable Manager, this senior leadership role is responsible for the overall performance of Network Operations and Ground Operations, including disruption management, operational compliance, service delivery, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee Operations Control Centre and Ground Operations
* Manage Operations Manager (OCC) and Ground Operations Manager
* Ensure flight monitoring, flight following and disruption response meet regulatory and customer requirements
* Lead client and stakeholder communications during operational disruptions
* Oversee compliance with CASA regulations, Aerlink Exposition and SMS
* Manage outsourced service providers and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
* Drive system improvements, automation and operational efficiencies
* Ensure cost‐effective utilisation of people and resources
* Oversee incident reporting, audit responses and corrective actions
* Support strategic planning, policy development and operational growth
* Produce monthly operational reports for executive review
About You
* Recognised tertiary qualifications
* Minimum 5 years' experience in aviation operations (network and/or ground operations)
* Strong understanding of aviation regulatory frameworks
* Proven senior leadership and people management experience
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to operate confidently in a fast‐paced, complex aviation environment
* Strong stakeholder and service provider management capability
