Job Title: Construction Coordinator
As a construction coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful completion of construction projects. Your primary responsibility will be to support the project manager in coordinating construction activities, resources, schedules, and budgets.
You will track and monitor project progress, updating schedules, reports, and documentation as required. This may involve preparing and distributing essential project documentation, reviewing and approving weekly subcontractor and supplier costs, supporting procurement by preparing subcontractor packages, scopes of work, site boxes, procurement schedules, and managing material deliveries.
Additionally, you will coordinate permits, inspections, and regulatory requirements. You will maintain and organize project files to ensure they are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant.
In this role, you will also attend project meetings, record minutes, and follow up on action items. You will assist in resolving project-related issues, delays, or conflicts under the project manager's guidance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Relevant qualifications in construction management or a related field
* Experience in a similar coordination role within the Australian construction industry
* Strong understanding of construction processes, project documentation, and cost tracking
* Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Procore or other construction software highly regarded
