About the Position
Paralegals play a pivotal role within our Legal service, supporting lawyers as they provide essential legal services. These services are aligned with our statutory functions under the Aboriginal Land Rights Act and Native Title Act. Our legal team works tirelessly to safeguard the rights and interests of Indigenous communities, promoting sustainable development and preserving the rich cultural heritage of the region.
Your Key Responsibilities
* You'll operate as a consummate professional with exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
* Your role will allow you to use your highly developed legal research skills, providing the critical foundation for our legal pursuits.
The successful candidate will have currently enrolled as a student of law and/or significant past paralegal experience, experience in accessing complex databases including the use of Microsoft 365, sound ICT literacy including use of information management software and systems and Microsoft Office Suite 365, and a current C Class Drivers Licence.
