Our client is a highly-regarded and multi-disciplined Asbestos consultancy offering a wide range of Asbestos and Fire Safety services to clients across the UK.
They are currently looking for a reliable and hardworking Fire Risk Assessor based in the Northampton area.
The ideal applicant will have extensive Fire Health & Safety knowledge, and will possess in-depth experience carrying out fire risk assessments on a range of site types.
Applications from Towcester, Kettering, Daventry, Bedford and the surrounding areas will be considered.
Must hold the NEBOSH Fire Certificate or NEBOSH Fire Conversion – Technician status with recognised bodies IFSM/IFPO/IFE/NAFRAR would be preferred.
Ideally, they are looking for an individual who comes from a strong Fire/H&S Consultancy and technical background within the fire industry, having experience in other industries would be beneficial but not essential.
Must have an in- depth knowledge and experience of undertaking fire risk assessments on various properties, including commercial, industrial and public sectors.
Hold excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Be proficient in using the Microsoft Package.
Well versed with the Health & Safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertaking Fire Risk Assessments and Health & Safety Risk Assessments in various industry sectors, including commercial, industrial and residential.
Producing fire risk assessment reports and ensuring compliance with the Health & Safety Legislation with regards to fire.
Delivering presentations and training.
Providing high level consultancy advice.
Providing Fire and Safety Guidance and investigating incidents.
Dealing with issues effectively and appropriately.
Liaising with clients and staff.
The successful post-holder will be of smart disposition, confident, methodical and have the ability to show competency in undertaking Fire Risk Assessments without supervision.
Must be prepared to travel extensively.
