We’re currently expanding our team in Ballarat and surrounding regions as part of the Central Highlands Water digital metering rollout and we’re on the lookout for qualified Plumbers to help us deliver high-quality fieldwork on a major utilities contract.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You’ll be responsible for installing and replacing residential water meters (20mm to 50mm), identifying, and responding to on-site challenges like leaks or bursts, and ensuring all work is documented accurately using mobile-based tools.
This is a hands-on, field-based role with minimal supervision, ideal for experienced plumbers who enjoy independent work, a fast pace, and making an impact through quality service delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Install, replace, and upgrade digital water meters across Ballarat, Daylesford & Maryborough
* Identify and report site issues such as bursts, leaks, or non-compliant installations.
* Liaise with residents before and during installation; leave cards and document jobs via apps.
* Use hand tools and PlumGuard safety equipment (training provided)
* Maintain daily KPIs while ensuring safety, quality, and process compliance.
* Attend the Alphinton depot 2–3 days/week for stock collection and team briefings.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
* Registered Plumber (Mandatory)
* Valid Driver’s Licence & Construction White Card
* Police Check & Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Strong fieldwork experience and ability to solve issues on-site.
* Comfortable using mobile apps for documentation (WhatsApp, Fulcrum, SWIMS)
* Ability to work independently, in all weather conditions.
* Ownership of a B-Press tool is highly regarded.
