MCi Carbon (MCi) is a world-leading Australian clean technology company transforming CO2 emissions into valuable materials that provide profitable decarbonisation pathways for the hard to abate sector including cement, steel, glass, mining and chemical industries.

Founded in 2013, MCi uses carbon engineering processes to transform captured CO2 emissions from most industrial sources into solid materials that can be used to manufacture a range of carbon embodied building and construction products. MCi uses CO2 as a resource to create profitable pathways for many industries to reduce their emissions. This is carbon utilisation (CCU). Its mission is to contribute to the pathway to zero emissions by removing 1 billion tonnes of CO2. MCi continues to receive global recognition for its R&D, including winning #1 Cleantech Pitch at COP26, a Mission Innovation Net Zero Industries Mission #1 Australia Award at COP28, and a 2023 Banksia Sustainability Award.

As a Graduate – Business Development Analyst, you will support our business development team with strategic analysis to support the evaluation and prioritisation of customer engagement opportunities and projects. You'll play a key role in evaluating market and customer opportunities using MCi's managed innovation framework (Desirability, Viability, Feasibility) and help drive our go-to-market strategy.

Key Responsibilities

* Conduct desktop research, data gathering and market analysis to support MCi's go-to-market strategy across industries and product applications
* Assist in the preparation of internal evaluation packs, presentations and customer briefs
* Support business development and general management activities including CRM updates, meeting coordination, and a variety of admin tasks
* Help develop internal tools and databases for improved information capture and cross-functional collaboration
* Collaborate with BD, product and technology teams within an Agile/Scrum framework
* Support customer engagement initiatives and assist the General Manager of Business Development & Feedstocks in managing stakeholder relationships
* Continuously learn and apply MCi's technology offering to help evaluate opportunity fit

Qualifications and Desired Skills

* Degree in Chemical Engineering (required)
* Dual degree in Chemical Engineering + Business/Commerce (preferred)
* Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
* Motivated self-starter with the ability to work both autonomously and in a structured team
* Interest in innovation, climate tech, sustainability, and emerging technologies
* Ability to translate technical understanding into commercial insights
* Detail-oriented, organised, and comfortable with ambiguity and change
* Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to liaise within and across teams
