Senior Environmental Advisor
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical
* Project manage the development of client Offshore environmental approvals to support the Victoria Offshore Project (VOP)
* Provide operational support and track commitments for client offshore activities to ensure compliance with Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage Act 2006
* Development and submit monthly incident and annual reports for relevant regulators
General
* Direct engagement with internal and external stakeholders on environmental matters
* Coordinate the delivery of external environmental advice to support the development of environmental approvals (OPP, Environment Plans)
* Participate in internal and external audits / inspections as required
* The ability to be pro-active and work under limited supervision
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Experience
* 10+ years relevant environmental experience at offshore and onshore assets, in the oil and gas resources sector
* Demonstrated experience coordinating offshore environmental projects in Australia
* Sound knowledge and understanding of regulatory processes pertaining to offshore oil and gas activities
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant science or engineering discipline.
