Volunteer with EdConnect Australia to help students thrive at school.
EdConnect volunteers bring current skills, stories, and support into the school environment to enrich students’ academic and social achievement.
EdConnect provides the framework to match volunteers with young people in schools who need extra help and guidance.
Responsibilities
Support students throughout the school year in a variety of ways to enhance academic and social outcomes.
Provide a trusted confidant and stability where it may be lacking for a young person.
Engage in activities and programs that connect volunteers with students in partner schools.
Participate in events and initiatives such as local catch-ups, online refresher training, and workshops to stay engaged and effective.
Commitment & Time
Regular involvement – more than 6 months.
A minimum of 1 hour per week on a day and time to suit you and the school.
Training
Workshops relevant to the role are conducted by EdConnect staff and are offered online.
Location & Partnering
Volunteers are principally placed within government schools; partnership schools are selected to be convenient for volunteers.
