The Opportunities

As an Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for provision of administrative support to District Director, Assistant Director and Team Leaders in the District. The role has responsibilities for contributing to the effective management of the District Offices by providing a high level of customer service in relation to administrative matters, including the maintenance of spreadsheets and local office systems.

As a case Support Officer, you will be responsible for:

* Contributing to the effective management of case work in the District by providing direct case support and administrative assistance to designated case management teams;
* Providing general administrative services and assistance with case work matters that is accurate, efficient, professionally helpful and consistent with legislative and procedural requirements;
* Effectively participating in on-the-job learning and development activities.

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments will be made for this or similar future vacancies (fixed term or permanent) that arise within the next 12 months across the Department of Communities.

* District Allowance between $9,299-$9,449 for singles and $18,598-$18,898 with dependants; with the amount dependent on the Pilbara location.
* Generous leave provisions including 5 Days North West Leave, 3 days additional public sector holidays and 15 days personal leave per annum
* 5 days cultural and ceremonial leave for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees.
* Recreational Leave Travel Concession – After 12 months service in the region, the Department will cover cost for return flights to and from Perth for yourself and any eligible dependents.
* 18 weeks paid parental leave.
