Shape the future of rural mental health
Supervise and mentor the next generation of psychologists while delivering meaningful impact across schools and communities.
We're looking for a Clinical Psychologist and Board Approved Supervisor to join One Red Tree Resource Centre Inc. in a unique role that goes beyond a traditional caseload.
Instead of carrying your own full client load, you'll:
* Multiply your impact by supporting multiple provisional psychologists
* Lead high-quality clinical supervision across school and community settings
* Strengthen the rural workforce pipeline in a model that is nationally recognised
This is a 0.4 FTE (part-time), 6-month role based in Ararat, with potential for extension.
Why this role stands out
This isn't just supervision—it's system-level impact.
At One Red Tree, you'll be part of a relational, community-embedded model working across schools, health services, and community settings. You'll support provisional psychologists delivering early intervention and mental health care to young people aged 4–18.
You're not just supervising sessions—you're shaping how rural mental health care is delivered.
What you'll do
* Provide individual and group supervision to provisional psychologists
* Support psychologists working in school and community-based settings
* Contribute to clinical decision‐making, risk management, and care planning
* Work collaboratively with educators, families, and local services
* Help strengthen and evolve an innovative rural workforce model
What we offer
* Purpose-driven work with genuine community impact
* A collaborative, values‐led clinical team
* Professional development in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
* Generous salary packaging (up to $15,900 + $2,650 meals/entertainment)
* 6 weeks leave (pro rata, with leave loading)
* Opportunities to contribute to program development and innovation

* Strong partnerships with schools, universities, councils, and health services
* Founders recognised as finalists in the Australian of the Year Awards (Local Hero category)
We are building a sustainable rural workforce pipeline—and this role is central to that mission.
About you
You are a Clinical Psychologist and Board Approved Supervisor who:

* Is approved for all supervision pathways (4+2, 5+1, higher degree, registrar)
* Has experience (or strong interest) in supervising provisional psychologists
* Brings a relational, collaborative approach to practice
* Is adaptable and motivated to work in a rural/community context
* Has interest or experience in trauma-informed care and contextual behavioural science
Location & lifestyle
Based in Ararat:
