* Safe operation of locomotives is a key aspect of this role, requiring you to demonstrate your ability to manage risks and ensure the safe operation of our vehicles.
* Basic train examination competencies are also essential, as you will be responsible for conducting regular examinations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Additionally, you will be required to drive Aurizon motor vehicles, which involves operating vehicles safely and efficiently in various environments.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety and be able to work in accordance with our standards and procedures. You must also be willing to commit to working at one of our regional depots and undertake an extensive training program. This will require a 24/7 shift roster, which can be physically demanding but provides an opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge.
