We are currently looking for a Customs Broker for our client that is a global company specialised in freight transportation,national and international logistics and 3PL warehousing The company based in Brisbane. You will be responsible for customs clearances and quarantine.
Duties include
Work with our Forwarding Team and other Customs Brokers to ensure that service level agreements are met
Collect and process all forwarding documentation
Collate and process all related paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
Job registration
Monitoring and tracking of consignments and keeping all relevant stakeholders informed of progress
Liaise relevant internal and external stakeholders
Ensure the prompt and timely delivery of all consignments
Cargo automation and Job file completion including collating and scanning all relevant documents
Assist with liaising with relevant providers such as Shipping Lines, Consolidators, Transport Companies etc regarding rates and schedules
Actively participate as a member of the team to ensure service levels are achieved and communication is strong
Act as the key liaison between customs and clients
Attending to client enquiries relating to tariff classification of goods, rates of duty, tariff concession orders, methods of valuation and origin requirements of the Customs Act
Determine and track duties and taxes payable and process payments on behalf of client
Ensuring compliance with government agencies
Qualifications / Experience/ Licences required
Customs Broker Licence
AA19.1 & AA19.2 Accreditation
Minimum 2 years customs broking experience
Experience with both air and sea freight
EDI/Cargowise and/or ICS experience
Must hold full working rights in Australia
