This organisation plays a critical role in supporting community infrastructure, municipal services and local employment across multiple programs. With strong cultural foundations and a long history of service, it is now seeking two experienced Coordinators to strengthen its operations and logistics capability and support long‑term workforce development.

The Roles
Operations Coordinator
The Operations Coordinator supports a centralised operations function that acts as the single point of coordination for maintenance, internal works, civil activities and community projects.
This role is focused on improving communication, mentoring staff, strengthening systems and ensuring day‑to‑day operations run smoothly. You’ll work closely with operational teams and leadership to bring clarity, structure and reliability to workflows, while remaining flexible to the realities of remote community life.
Key focus areas include:
* Supporting the daily functioning of a central operations office
* Improving communication between front‑office staff, operational teams and program areas
* Mentoring and supporting team leaders and emerging local staff
* Developing, documenting and embedding practical workflows and SOPs
* Providing steady, visible leadership and modelling professional workplace behaviours
* Supporting culturally safe and sustainable workforce practices
Logistics Coordinator
The Logistics Coordinator leads a centralised logistics and warehouse function that supports multiple programs across the organisation.
This role exists to introduce structure, systems and mentoring to a growing local team, ensuring procurement, inventory and warehouse operations are efficient, reliable and culturally appropriate. You’ll balance strategic improvement with hands‑on leadership, supporting staff with varying levels of experience.
Key focus areas include:
* Overseeing daily warehouse and logistics operations
* Developing and implementing consistent logistics systems and processes
* Managing inventory, procurement and distribution of equipment and supplies
* Mentoring and supporting a local team, including training and upskilling pathways
* Working collaboratively with program areas to meet operational needs
* Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and capability growth
About You
You are a grounded, emotionally intelligent leader who understands that strong systems must be paired with strong relationships.
You will bring:
* Demonstrated experience in operations, logistics, warehousing, procurement or similar fields
* Experience mentoring staff and supporting capability development
* Strong communication skills and high emotional intelligence
* Cultural humility and respect when working in Aboriginal community contexts
* Adaptability and resilience in dynamic, remote environments
* The ability to balance structure and flexibility
Experience working in remote or Aboriginal community settings is highly regarded, as is experience building systems in environments with limited resources.
