Provide high quality specialist paediatric services to the patients on the North West within the limits of specified clinical privileges.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Staff Specialist Paediatrician, who will work as part of the Paediatric Department across the North West region.
The Paediatrics department provides a consultative service supported by inpatient and outpatient services, as well as outreach services located at regional centres which include the West Coast District Hospital, Smithton District Hospital, King Island District Hospital and Devonport Community Health. The NWRH provides a neonatal service and busy inpatient service. The MCH provides an ever increasing general, behavioural and community paediatrics service. The currentsenior staffing mix includes full time and part time Specialists with excellent Registrar and JMO support, in addition the NWRH is accredited with the RACP for Registrar training. This position will be attractive to highly skilled and motivated medical professionals who view challenges as opportunities and is driven by a passion to improve healthcare in the complex world of modern health systems. Permanent full time, day worker (with on call) position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you are able to join our team.

Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1- Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 3 $216,300 - $310,389 per annum, pro rata + 12% superannuation+ access to salary packaging
Please note that access to the Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner salary range $300,216 -$310,389 is subject to the successful applicant satisfying the criteria for Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1, 2 or 3 as outlined in the Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Award
* Salary range is in accordance with Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022
In addition, the following allowances and benefit, calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria as
* Specialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia in a relevant specialty
* Current Working with Children Registration
