We are looking for an experienced Chef to join our dynamic team on a permanent, full-time basis.

Salary: $76, 515 per year

Key Responsibilities:

* Menu Planning: Develop and curate menus that cater to the restaurant patrons.
* Explore new recipes and adapt traditional favourites to meet dietary requirements without compromising flavour.
* Kitchen Management: Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, managing a dedicated team of cooks to deliver consistently high-quality meals.

· Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation

* Culinary Innovation: Stay updated on culinary trends and incorporate innovative cooking techniques to enhance the dining experience of patrons.
* Leadership: Inspire and lead your team with passion, fostering a positive and collaborative kitchen environment.
* Collaboration: Collaborate with the dining services team to create a warm and inviting atmosphere during mealtimes.
* Budget Management: Collaborate with management to develop and manage the culinary budget efficiently. Source cost-effective, high-quality ingredients without compromising on taste or nutritional value. Estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
* Hygiene and Safety: Implement and enforce strict hygiene and safety standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a restaurant or similar environment.
* Qualification (Cert III/IV in Commercial Cookery or relevant certification) and/or demonstrated experience in a similar role.
* Budget management skills with an eye for cost control.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.

The successful candidate will need to be available to work a rotating seven day roster, including weekends and public holidays and the flexibility to work the occasional evening shift if needed.
