Senior Financial Accountant Mission
The Senior Financial Accountant plays a key role in supporting the Senior Finance Manager with critical financial accounting matters for PUMA's businesses in Australia and New Zealand.
This position is responsible for assisting with the development of documented policies and procedures, as well as contributing to various projects as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Journals and Reconciliations: Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records.
2. ROU Asset Accounting: Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
3. Fixed Assets: Manage the acquisition, disposal, and depreciation of assets.
4. Month-End Reporting: Prepare and review financial reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
5. Financial Statements: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
6. Cash Forecasting and Treasury: Analyze cash flows and manage treasury operations to minimize risk.
7. Payroll Accounting and Reporting: Process payroll transactions and prepare related reports.
8. Insurances Administration and Management: Coordinate insurance coverage and claims management.
9. External and Internal Audits: Collaborate with auditors to ensure smooth audit processes.
10. Royalty Reporting: Track and report royalty payments and revenues.
11. Policies and Procedures Documentation: Develop and maintain documented policies and procedures.
12. Banking and Facilities Transition Project: Assist with the transition of banking and facilities.
13. ZOHO Expense Management Platform Upgrade: Manage the upgrade of the ZOHO expense management platform.
14. ZOHO Purchase Order System Implementation: Assist with the implementation of the ZOHO purchase order system.
15. Process Improvements: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
2. CPA/CA qualification.
3. Advanced MS-Office skills.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Organized and process-driven approach.
6. Taxation knowledge covering both Australia and New Zealand.
