The role
Working closely with the Communications Lead,you'llplay a key role in coordinating and delivering Recfishwest's day-to-day communications across digital channels and external publications.
A strong knowledge of and passion for fishing is essentialandyou'llbe across the issues, trends and conversations shaping WA's recreational fishing community.
This is a fast-paced role suited to someone proactive, organised and solutions-focused.You'llbe comfortable juggling priorities, working independently and as part of a team, and taking ownership to get things done.
We'relooking for someone who brings energy, initiativeandideas,whocan think critically, ask questions and contribute, while also aligning behind decisions and delivering outcomes.
About you Essential
* Strong interest in and knowledge of recreational fishing in WA
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
* Experience using images and video for storytelling, including filming and editing
* Working knowledge of digital platforms and tools (e.g. WordPress, Meta platforms, LinkedIn, Canva, Mailchimp, video editing software)
* Strong work ethic and willingness to occasionally work outside standard hours
Desirable
* Experience in journalism, PR,mediaor communications (12+ months)
* Strong writing skills across a range of formats and audiences
* Relevant tertiary qualification (media, PR, journalism, marketing or similar)
