We are seeking applicants who have Interpersonal and communication skills with patients, clients and key stake holders, demonstrating diplomacy, integrity, discretion, and confidentiality when dealing with members of the public and interacting effectively with all staff within a multi-disciplinary environment.
Key competencies (role specific criteria)
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:
* Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology and medical typing experience (specifically pathology).
* Advanced typing and keyboard skills and proficiency in contemporary computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and e-mail systems.
* Knowledge of or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of the Pathology Queensland patient information system (Auslab).
* High level organisational skills and the ability to establish work priorities and meet deadlines in an environment of conflicting priorities.
* Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work as an effective team member with a willingness to assist others.
