This ASX listed technology group operates across Australia, Europe and North America. The Melbourne based CFO needs an experienced tax professional to take responsibility for the Australian compliance and planning function, whilst also leading the group tax reporting requirements for the board and the ASX. This is a tremendous opportunity to step out of a Senior Manager role in a mid/top tier firm, or you may be an experienced industry corporate tax professional looking for broader scope and visibility. In an autonomous role, you will: Own Australian tax planning and compliance with the support of Big 4 advisors Manage Tax effect accounting, deferred tax and disclosures reporting cycles Lead tax governance, risk management and the tax framework Partner with finance, legal, treasury and external advisers across multiple regions Support Board and Audit and Risk Committee reporting and queries Drive improvements in tax processes, controls and documentation You will bring a strong technical grounding in corporate tax and tax accounting, ideally from Big 4 or a complex Australian-based multi-entity environment. ASX experience is a bonus, with the ability to operate commercially and communicate clearly with senior stakeholders essential. This is a hands-on, highly visible role where you will have the ability to shape the tax function as the business grows internationally.
