About the venue
The Hastings Hotel is a community-focused, traditional pub located in the heart of Wauchope, just 15 minutes west of Port Macquarie on the beautiful NSW Mid North Coast. Boasting a newly renovated public bar/TAB, gaming room and entertainment area and the #1 bottleshop in town we cater to all segments of our local community. Further works (currently at DA stage) will ensure this iconic venue is at the forefront of hospitality offerings in the region well into the future.
About the Role
We are on the lookout for a hands-on Duty (Assistant) Manager to join our leadership team. You'll play a vital role in ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly across the bar, bistro, TAB, gaming and Bottleshop, while helping deliver a great customer experience.

What You'll Be Doing
· Leading and developing team members during shifts
· Managing the operations across all service areas including Bar, Kitchen, TAB, KENO, Accommodation (about to be newly renovated), Gaming & Bottleshop
· Handling end-of-day cash-up, reporting and compliance checks
· Ensuring RSA and RCG standards are upheld
· Supporting promotions, marketing, and venue events
· Driving service standards, team culture, and community engagement
· Managing labour within budget and contributing to financial performance
What We're Looking For
· Previous experience in a licensed hospitality venue (bar/pub/hotel)
Minimum 1-2 years' experience in licensed hospitality venues is required.
· Current RSA & RCG (essential)
· Strong leadership and communication skills
· Team player with a flexible, customer-first approach
· Reliable, energetic and ready to get stuck in
