About the Role
You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting as the Manager, Corporate Financial Accounting. You'll lead a supportive and high-performing team, providing expert financial advice while maintaining compliance and driving best practices.
Responsibilities
* Oversee financial records, reconciliations, and compliance with taxation obligations (PAYG, GST, FBT).
* Develop and implement accounting policies to enhance governance and reporting.
* Provide expert financial advice to improve systems, efficiency, and decision-making.
* Lead and develop a high-performing finance team in a positive, inclusive environment.
Requirements
* Proven public sector experience in a similar financial management role.
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Expertise in financial governance, reporting, and continuous improvement.
* Team leadership with a customer-focused approach.
* Commitment to diversity, equity, and workplace safety.
Your Team
* Work closely with Finance and Funding Division staff.
* Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organisation.
* Engage with external partners, including the Auditor-General's Department and the Department of Treasury and Finance.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in accounting, business, or commerce is essential.
* Membership or progress towards a professional accounting body qualification is desirable.
