Are you an experienced engineer seeking a challenging role in power transmission and distribution?
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Distribution Design Engineer to join our team in Perth, Western Australia.
The successful candidate will lead and oversee the design, analysis, and implementation of power distribution systems for utilities. They will develop detailed engineering plans, including system layouts, equipment selection, and electrical design calculations.
Candidates with extensive technical knowledge of distribution networks, including 11kV, 22kV, and 66kV overhead and underground lines, will be considered. A minimum of 2 years of Overhead Line Design experience is required, as well as proficiency in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD, NEARA, and/or N'Poles.
Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee the design, analysis, and implementation of power distribution systems for utilities.
* Develop detailed engineering plans, including system layouts, equipment selection, and electrical design calculations.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
* Conduct thorough assessments and feasibility studies to optimise power distribution systems and enhance performance.
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their professional growth.
* Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in power distribution systems.
A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field is preferred. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse complex technical issues, as well as exceptional communication skills to effectively convey technical information to diverse stakeholders.
