The Team:

* Wombat Ward is a 16-bed paediatric level 3 inpatient unit caring for general, surgical, orthopaedic and mental health paediatric patients aged 0-17 years of age across the northwest coast of Tasmania. The paediatric team works closely as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellence in healthcare and achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian Community

The Role:
Come join our team and be one of our Ward supports for Wombat Ward NWRH. Strong communication, problem solving skills and computer skills a must. Tasks include but not limited to completing clerical, and administration tasks as well as re stocking, ordering and general cleaning duties.

You will need:

* Provide a customer focused telephone, security access and general reception service to the unit by communicating information in a timely manner to relevant persons and performing administrative and clerical support to assist nursing and medical staff in the effective operation of the unit.
* Collect and maintain relevant patient medical records including input and retrieval of data from the relevant Patient Information Management System
* Clean, sterilise and re-assemble equipment relative to the work environment including maintaining and restocking clean and dirty utility areas in accordance with infection control guidelines.

Details of appointment:
Permanent, part time, shift worker position, working 16 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as you can join us.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary:
$66,049 to $70,993 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

* Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Union Wages Agreement 2022
