Overview
As Senior Manager, SME and Small Business, you'll be at the heart of shaping and delivery the future vision for the SME and Small Business sector. Based in Sydney, this full-time role is all about driving growth through strategy execution, keen understanding of competitive and business dynamics, and bold ideas. You'll collaborate across teams and with external partners to strengthen our competitive edge and make a real impact – driving the strategy for the business, managing business planning, and overseeing major initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Drive the SME and Small Business strategic roadmap and ensuring alignment with group vision, working with the business to ensure the multi-year roadmap and objectives are delivered and outcomes as planned are achieved.
2. Leverage deep strategic thinking and data to solve challenging problems and emerging issues.
3. Work with the leadership team to drive SME and Small Business planning cycles and initiatives.
4. Collaborate with and influence a broad range of stakeholders across various parts of the Westpac Group.
What do I need?
We're looking for someone with strong foundations and a strategic mindset—someone who can think big, distil complexity, and deliver with precision.
Here's what will help you succeed:
5. Strong experience in strategy development and execution within a large complex organisation or consulting, with a skillset focused on developing high quality presentations, financial models, and Executive-level communications.
6. Strong problem-solving, planning and communication (both written & verbal) skills—you know how to simplify the complex and influence with clarity.
7. Proven ability to turn data into clear, actionable insights, and a proactive, structured and solutions-focused approach to complex challenges.
8. Lead engagement with a wide range of stakeholders across the banker of various seniority to gain clarity and influence outcomes.
9. Industry experience in banking or financial services is preferred, but not essential.
