Requirements / Qualifications
Over 5 years experience as a Senior Network/Gateway engineer.
Over 5 years experience in implementing large scale, geographically dispersed and constrained networks, the associated security threat landscape and related mitigations, including: (switching, routing, firewalls, segmentation, access controls and load balancing).
Over 5 Years experience in a Senior Network Architect role.
In-depth knowledge and experience designing Unified communications VOIP / VTC systems.
In-depth knowledge of cyber security frameworks and network security technologies.
Experience in designing and architecting network solutions for on-premise, private cloud or tenancy
Experience in architecting hardened and segmented network environments, with focus on virtualisation and platform layer.
Experience in Design and Architecture utilizing required Defence views, including the ability to adapt to NATO Architecture Framework (NAF).
Ability to take requirements, standards, and frameworks and apply them in an architectural and solution design, including test and evaluation procedures.
Experience Designing Network Architecture for large geographically dispersed environments, with varying degrees of interrupted connectivity.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements in a fast-paced environment to meet changing deadlines and shifting priorities.
Experience in the architecture of highly available/fault tolerant systems, networks, and infrastructure in a connected, partially connected, degraded, or often disconnected state.
Skills and in-depth knowledge of the following technologies:

Desirable Skills and Experience
Experience working within the Telecommunications Gateway environments (Optus / Telstra)
Experience working within or interoperating with the Defence Network environment.
Knowledge and skills in the design, implementation, and configuration of automation and orchestration technologies and services, for example Ansible, Git, Scripting.
Ability to rapidly design and architect proof of concept systems to support analysis, testing, accreditation and approval activities, preferably within a DevSecOps process.
Detailed knowledge and skills in design, implementation and configuration on one or more of the following technologies:
Software Defined Network (SDN)/ Wide Area Network (SDWAN)
Next Generation Switching, e.g. Arista
Web Application Firewall, Access Policy Management
