Due to statewide expansion and team growth, Nexus has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Human Resources generalist to join the People and Culture team as our People and Performance Partner.

Nexus Inc is a statewide NDIS registered, not-for-profit organisation. We employ approximately 850 staff who provide support and development opportunities for people who require physical, social, and psychological supports.

Your Role as a People and Performance Partner
* As our People and Performance Partner, your role will include: providing advice and support to leaders in relation to talent attraction, general HR processes, performance management matters, investigations, employee and industrial relations matters, and associated documentation.
* Preparing HR related correspondence in a timely manner.
* Gathering evidence and documentation of performance discussions in a timely manner to ensure organisational effectiveness and transparency for all parties.
* Ensuring all candidates comply with NDIS and HR compliance documentation to meet employment requirements.
* Reporting via HR information systems (HRIS), CRM, and e-learning systems to improve compliance in relation to legislative and regulatory requirements.
* Collaborating with leaders, teams and employees to ensure People and Culture matters and needs remain confidential.
* Working in conjunction with the Manager of People and Culture on WGEA tasks and associated reporting.
* Supporting the recruitment and onboarding process of candidates.
* Participating at networking events and career expos.
Essential Requirements (Selection Criteria)
* High level skills in Human Resources with demonstrated HR generalist knowledge.
* Experience in the coordination of all aspects of HR performance processes, HR investigations, HR policies and procedures, and HR compliance processes aligned with the overarching organisational goals and strategies.
* Ability to interpret and provide advice on Enterprise Agreements/Awards with sound industrial relations knowledge.
* Demonstrated experience of the full employee lifecycle such as recruitment, onboarding, performance, offboarding and associated documentation.
* Demonstrated pragmatic and collaborative approach to building effective stakeholder relationships statewide, in order to support effective recommendations and solutions on people management matters.
* Demonstrated capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Proven ability to work under pressure, provide impartial and timely advice, and maintain perseverance and positivity in challenging situations.
* High level oral and written communication skills, including ability to articulate ideas, consult, negotiate, and anticipate stakeholder views to collaborate proactively.
* Ability to be resilient, adaptable and an effective change agent.
* Experience working in the not-for-profit sector would be considered desirable.
Qualifications and experience
* A minimum of three years' experience working in a similar human resources position (essential).
* Tertiary and/or Diploma level qualifications in business, human resources or a related discipline (desirable).
Working in the disability sector
Current National Police Check (no more than 6 months old).
Current Working with Vulnerable People Card Employment Type (NDIS endorses).
Completion of pre-employment medical questionnaire.
Travel and terminology
Please note: this position can be based in either our Launceston or Devonport offices and will require interoffice travel weekly. Applications are open to both full-time employees and employees who wish to work either a nine-day fortnight or a four-day week.
