About the Role 
We are seeking experienced Executive Sous Chef and Head Chef professionals to join our client’s culinary team in Melbourne. In these senior leadership roles, you will oversee operations across premium event spaces, à la carte restaurants, and high-profile functions, ensuring world-class dining experiences with innovation, quality, and efficiency at the forefront. 
Responsibilities 
- Lead, mentor, and inspire kitchen teams across multiple outlets 
- Develop and implement innovative menus reflecting current trends and guest expectations 
- Manage high-volume catering operations across diverse cuisines and formats 
- Ensure excellence in food quality, presentation, and safety standards 
- Support financial performance through cost control, stock management, and budgeting 
Qualifications 
- Proven experience as a Head Chef, Executive Sous Chef, or Chef de Cuisine in large-scale, fast-paced kitchens 
- Strong leadership and team development skills 
- Expertise in menu creation, stock control, and cost-effective kitchen operations 
- Competence in budgeting and business systems (stock and accounting) 
- Relevant culinary qualifications and HACCP knowledge 
Required Skills 
- Proven experience as a Head Chef, Executive Sous Chef, or Chef de Cuisine in large-scale, rapid-paced kitchens 
- Strong leadership and team development skills 
- Expertise in menu creation, stock control, and cost-effective kitchen operations 
- Competence in budgeting and business systems (stock and accounting) 
- Relevant culinary qualifications and HACCP knowledge 
Preferred Skills 
- Experience in high-volume catering operations 
- Knowledge of current culinary trends 
Pay range and compensation package $110K to $130K plus super
