In this Role, you'll
Become a Road Safety Hero that is held in very high esteem in our communities and vital to the safety of our kids,, teachers and local motorists. You'll also grow to be a much‐loved familiar face around the school with a unique opportunity to touch the lives of countless families.
This is a casual position which will provide relief at sites in the Armidale Local Government Area. Shifts may fall between the school zone hours 8.00 – 9.30 AM and 2.30 – 4.00 PM, with a minimum of one‐hour shift as and when required Monday to Friday during the school term.
You will receive an hourly rate along with superannuation.
About You
You're a community‐minded person who would like to contribute. You'd get a kick out of making community relationships, keeping kids safe whilst earning a weekly wage for doing something you love and enjoy. You're reliable and prepared to show up for your community – in good or bad weather. You'll display effective communication skills and be alert to potential dangers.

Requirements
Applicants must be 18 years of age at the time of appointment. All training, uniforms and equipment will be provided. Working with children on our roads requires a willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check, Reference Checks, Police Check and a Health Assessment. If you already have a Working with Children Check, that will speed up the process.
Recruitment Timeline
Our talent team will review all applications and will be contacting shortlisted candidates by the week commencing 27th February 2026 for a quick 5–10 minute phone interview, following panel interviews.
If successful, you will progress to the pre‐employment checks stage.
The position closes at 11:59 pm on Wednesday 26th February 2026.
Applicants who successfully pass the interview may be considered for a permanent part‐time position, should a vacancy arise. A Talent Pool may be created for current and future casual and permanent part‐time positions over the next 18‐month period.
