Portland Victoria is only an 80 minute drive from Warrnambool and is home to unspoiled beaches, river and offshore fishing, whale watching and the start of The Great South Walking trail. The $1.94 million Portland Campus adjacent to Portland’s healthcare precinct has been purpose built to provide the community with a service that is flexible, responsive and accessible to all.

Position overview

* Employment Type: Full-time (80 hours per fortnight, with a monthly ADO), On-going position
* Location: Portland Campus
* Classification: Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 3, Social Worker/Occupational Therapist/Psychologist Grade 2
* Salary Range: $88,030.80 - $112,091.20 pro rata, plus superannuation

About the role

South West Healthcare's Infant, Child and Youth Mental Health Service (ICYMHS) is a specialist service supporting young people aged 0–25 years and their families.

Our service includes embedded specialist streams:

* Infant, Child and Family Stream for children aged 0–11 years
* Youth Streams for young people aged 12–25 years, which include Intake and Short-Term Intervention and Ongoing Care

As a Mental Health Clinician, you will play a vital role in delivering evidence-informed, developmentally appropriate treatment, care, and support to young people aged 12–25 years and their families.

You will work in partnership with community-based services, primary health providers, and the broader mental health and wellbeing sector to ensure holistic care.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Direct service provision to individuals and groups
* Consultation with mental health and wellbeing sector partners, including General Practitioners and Paediatricians
* Community development and education, as appropriate to the role

What you bring

* A Registered Psychiatric Nurse with registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a registered nurse and have at least 2 years' experience in the provision of mental health services. It would be desirable to have a Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing or completion of a specialist undergraduate Mental Health Nursing program.
* An Occupational Therapist with a Degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency.
* A Social Worker with a Degree in Social Work & eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
* A Psychologist who has registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Psychologist, or a Provisional Psychologist completing a 5+1 program for psychology are supported and eligible to apply.
