The Developer – Water Sector plays an integral part in the Bureau's Water Markets Reform program, aiming to improve trust and transparency in water trading across the Murray–Darling Basin. The role will focus exclusively on the Bureau's water systems and requires an experienced developer with full stack proficiency and strong AWS cloud and applications experience.
Key responsibilities include contributing to the detailed design and development of new solutions, forming a key part of delivery teams to uplift legacy systems, and collaborating with the Bureau's DevOps and Test specialists. The role also involves providing support and ongoing maintenance of the suite of water applications, communicating concepts and delivering showcases to technical and business stakeholders, and demonstrating commitment to APS Values and the Bureau's Social Justice Strategy.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma of an Australian educational institution or a comparable overseas qualification, which is appropriate to the duties. They will also have demonstrated examples of the development of AWS Cloud services, proven expertise with front-end languages and frameworks, relational database management systems, and testing.
