The Role
We are seeking a Junior Workwear Designer to join our Design team on a full-time permanent basis, based in Hurstville.
Reporting to the Head of Retail Merchandise, you will work closely with experienced designers to develop commercial, fit-for-purpose workwear and accessories.
This is a hands-on development role offering exposure across the full product lifecycle, with clear mentorship and the opportunity to take ownership of design components as you grow.
Your Duties
Design & Product Development
* Support seasonal ranges from concept through to production
* Create high-quality CADs, tech packs and technical drawings
* Contribute to fittings with a focus on construction, fit and function
* Develop commercial workwear aligned to briefs and end use
Sample & Production Coordination
* Manage sample tracking, approvals and timelines
* Work closely with Garment Techs and Production to refine fit and construction
* Maintain sample libraries and WIP tracking
Brand & Marketing Support
* Ensure consistency across product and brand outputs
* Support design of marketing collateral
* Coordinate samples for shoots and campaigns
Stakeholder Engagement
* Partner with Design, Production and Sales teams
* Liaise with suppliers to support smooth product deliver
About You
* Degree or diploma in Fashion Design or similar
* Strong, practical understanding of garment construction, fit and fabrication
* Experience developing tech packs
* Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
* Understanding of product lifecycle from concept through to bulk production
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Proactive, hands‐on and eager to continue developing as a designer
