Trade assistant / Operator Immediate start available Full time permanent role Day shifts hours Precision machining and fabrication company Bayswater location Company: Our client was established in 1974 and has been trading successfully for over 45 years. The business offers a comprehensive range of precise machining services as well as fabrication capabilities. You will be involved in, but not limited to: Learning how to set up and operate CNC VMC machines efficiently Working with a supervisor in VMC area regarding planning Learning how to set up jigs/fixtures and implementing setup/process improvements Trade assistant to be mentored and buddied up for training and get exposure to other areas in the factory To be successful, you will: Demonstrate a want to learn and interest in the engineering industry Have strong computer skills and knowledge of CAD programs favored Embrace new technology and be a self-starter, tech-savvy and reliable Show invested interest in career pathway opportunity Must be reliable, have a want to work and learn Hours and Rate: Day shift hours: Mon to Thurs, 6.00 am - 2.30 pm, Fri 6.00am - 12.00pm Hourly rate: $32.56 / hour, plus super Positions are subject to Police Check and medical.
