Medical Receptionist
We are a privately owned specialist dermatology facility located in Yokine.
An opportunity exists for a dynamic, well organised, and patient focused person to join our team in the role of Medical Receptionist in 2026.
Part Time (2 days per week)
Duties and responsibilities will include:
* Provide administrative support to the Dermatologists and other staff
* Open and close the practice and maintain the practice environment to a high standard including ensuring the consulting rooms are well prepared
* Provision of exceptional patient care that extends past the patient and to their support network as well
* Corresponding with patients to arrange appointment details/changes, referrals and test requirements
* Contact external parties to follow up on outstanding results or details as requested
* Ensuring patients are fully informed of all costs/fees and the payment timeline
* Processing patient accounts
* Filing and scanning as required and mail dispatch
* Typing of medical letters and doctor's dictation from a digital system with a high level of accuracy as requested
* Provide support to the Practice Manager as required
About you:
* Must have 2 years minimum experience in a similar Medical Reception role
* Must have proven skills in face-to-face patient management
* Ideally have a sound knowledge of practice management software (preferably Genie)
* Must be mature, professional, and empathetic in all your dealings
* Must be well presented, highly reliable and be a positive contributor
* Must be able to efficiently multitask whilst being flexible and adaptable
* Must be highly organised with a high attention to detail including diary, phone calls, email, and bookings
* Provide quality and timely administrative support
* Have experience in processing accounts
* Be fully COVID vaccinated
